About Me

Irsyad Dawood is a Singaporean theatre-maker, performer, and educator whose work spans across multiple artistic disciplines. As the current Artist-in-Residence at Teater Ekamatra, he develops innovative theatrical works exploring minority experiences in Singapore, with a focus on documentary theatre and community-centered practices. His original productions merge personal narratives with broader societal themes, while his acting credits include performances with leading theatre companies like Wild Rice and Singapore Repertory Theatre.

Beyond his creative work, Irsyad is deeply committed to arts education and youth development. As a Wolf Trap Teaching Artist and Social-Emotional Development Facilitator with Quantum Learning Global , he actively integrates arts into early childhood education and youth empowerment programs, believing in the transformative power of arts education in child development.
