Original Works

Irsyad is currently the Artist-in-Residence with Teater Ekamatra, an ethnic minority theatre company in Singapore, developing new works exploring the theme of Redhah (to accept everything that has happened wholeheartedly asincerely), looking into the sacrifices that minority communities in Singapore make to be content in this seemingly utopian city-state. This residency will see him diving into the medium of documentary theatre and developing community-centred theatre-making practices.

His original works reflect his interest in innovative forms of expression that merge personal narratives with larger societal themes.
